VOIP Bandwidth Issues

We have a fairly complex VOIP setup consisting of three freePBX servers, two on the mesh wan and one on the internet. They are trunked together and phones on any of the freePBXs can dial any other phone.

Help configuring MeshPhone

I've loaded FreePBX on a RasPi and configured it as a MeshPhone using the instructions provided by Mark, N2MH.
I can dial local extensions but not outbound extensions.

Dialing '73 or 73#' does not produce a second dial tone. See the results below. I've changed my IP for security purposes.
I'm way in over my level of understanding with this project so any help will be appreciated.

Timing Variability and VoIP quality

We have trouble with VOIP voice quality.  Sometimes it is perfect for a few seconds and then is very choppy, making it generally unusable.
Tracert show significant timing variability among the nodes. There is essentially no other traffic flowing on the nodes.  What could be causing
this?  See these tracert:

Here are 4 samplings. Only the first one showed a long delay from your node to your phone.

Linphone not connecting call when node has internet access

I have an Airrouter HP node at my QTH.
Mesh gateway is turned off but I can connected to my home network through the WAN port to give locally connected devices internet access.
I have a Grandstream GXP1630 phone connected to an airrouter LAN port, configured for direct IP dialing.
I also have a part 15 wireless access point connected to an airrouter LAN port to which I can connect my android phone.
My android has the Linphone app installed.  I've unchecked "use random port" and set the port to 5060.

Raspbian Desktop

Is it possible to load the raspbian Desktop on a Rpi once the freepbx image file is installed and setup? I would like to have PBX running in the background and then be able to launch the desktop.

HT701 Firmware

I would like to update the firmware on my HT701s.  But I am unable to find the needed file on the Grandstream firmware page. They seem to go around in circles.
Any suggestions?  Thanks!

GXP1630 Firmware Update

I hope someone has had this happen to them before and can offer an easy fix.

I have a Grandstream GXP1630 that apparently failed an attempt to do a firmware update.  I cannot get to the webGUI to change any settings now.  If I remove power to reboot the phone is goes right back into the firmware update process and finally ends with "recovery incomplete."

Firmware update on Grandstream breaks speed dial by IP - Fixed

A note on newer firmware on the Grandstream 1620/1625. I have two phones which are not registered on a SIP server, used for point to point contact. Before the change, I was able to store Dial by IP address entries in the progammable keys (Line Keys/Soft Keys) by the well known method of configuring Speed Dial via Active Account (even tho there isn't one here) and an entry of *4710*1*2*3 for the IP where *47 is a prefix and the rest the IP address 10.1.2.3. Also the Settings / Call Features / Bypass Dial Plan Through Call History and Directories would need to set to Yes.
