Looking for testers to call my PBX

It has been a couple weeks of learning curve, but I think I finally got a PBX system working.  If you have a couple minutes, please call my PBX!

IP: 10.177.158.230

Extensions to dial:
2000
3000

Both extensions should ring their respective IP phones at those extension numbers.

If you get a voicemail, please leave a message with your name, call sign, and IP address.  I'll try to call you back!

Thank you in advance for your time.

Outbound Port opening?

I inadvertently deleted by previous thread about this so let's try again

I need to open up several outbound ports (LAN to WAN) for IRLP to run on the mesh (hAP Lite).  Incoming ports (WAN to LAN) are obviously easy to do via the web interface. Outgoing, apparently not so much

At first I thought using the DMZ server feature would do what I want but I have more than one computer attached to the LAN ports of my hAP Lite and from what I can determine, doing that will kill the rest of the LAN.

Do I need to directly edit iptables?

CISCO 7960 & Polycom Soundpoint IP670 SIP Direct IP Dial

Hi all

Have a couple of mesh nodes up and running including a tunnel client. Now moving on to more features such as SIP phones.

I have the above mentioned phones and are trying to get them to direct dial each other. Seems they both require a SIP Proxy setting. I've managed to dial the IP670 from the 7960 but only by setting the SIP proxy in the 7960 to the IP of te IP670.

I have hd the 7960 working with FreePBX but was trying to get around having to have a PBX at all in the local environment.

Questions for the experienced here:

Buying Used or "Like New" Phones

I just purchased a "Like New" phone from a vendor on Amazon. When I got it, it proceeded to "phone home" and retrieved some sort of configuration. At the same time, it also changed the administrator password so that the default password no longer worked. This was for a Yealink T54W phone.

To fix this problem, the official way is to contact your seller and have them contact the manufacturer and have them take the phone off the manufacturer's auto provisioning service. You will probably need to supply your vendor with the mac address of the phone.

PBX/SIP Servers recommended

Hi,
We are putting together a BOM for services to run on our planned AREDN mesh. I was interested to know what PBX/SIP servers others may be using or recommend for the mesh - at this stage we have FreeSwitch active with some external gateways (link to other PBXs and services), a few VOIP phones and some Linphone setups on PCs etc.. I saw a short list on the AREDN services description pages but interested to know what people have actually taken into production.

Thanks,
Ken

Asterisk 16 FreePBX on Bullseye

As most of you likely know, raspbx hasn't been updated in some time. I wanted to share the script I modified to install freepbx on bullseye. I found it in a freepbx forum post and just changed the version numbers of most of the packages. So far I've built it on dietpi and the DRAWS image and it seems to work well with my old config.

Issues so far:

voip phones for sale

I have some extra VOIP phones for sale if anyone is looking.

1 - Grandstream GXP2000 phone - $20USD
1 - Grandstream GXP2000-EXT expansion unit - $60USD
1 - Cisco 7940 phone (with power adapter) - $20

All have previously been on the mesh and worked great.
email me if interested.
(I will ship within US for actual shipping cost.)

Meshphone on PBX issue

Hi, everyone,

So I'm setting our PBX up to work with Meshphone and have been following the steps on N2MH's guide (Version 2). Everything works up to the testing of the meshphone.conf file. When I dial 78 (or 78#) 9203 I get a busy signal. Same with any of the utility extensions (they work if I just dial 92xx though).

Here's my log from asterisk when I make a call:

28580[2022-05-27 20:49:39] VERBOSE[24660] netsock2.c: Using SIP RTP Audio TOS bits 184

Connecting a Grandstram PBX to a mesh node

I have read the comments here and I still do not understand how to connect a Grandstream PBX to a mesh node.  The PBX has a number of telephones which call one another via their extension number.  How can I make mesh telephones call these phones via their extension?
How can I make these phones call a mesh telephone?  If I just connect the PBX to the mesh node or mesh telephone via ethernet cable, it does not seem like they can talk to one another. Sorry if I am missing something obvious here.
