Hi AREDN,

I've successfully installed an IP Phone (Grandstream WP810) on my node, and successfully direct up dial to N2MH phone (I have leave a message in his voicemail). I also received a direct IP called from W0PCD in Iowa. 

My next step is MeshPhone. I have read the info page on N2MH node, but not sure if I understand it. This is what I understand. I have to create a freePBX (I'm planning to use asterisk on a raspberry Pi). Then follow the instructions on the info page to link my PBX to MeshPhone. Am I correct? Is there another way?

I recently added the package whereandwhen to my AREDN node and connected a GPS antenna to it.  It pulls the position, time, and date just fine.  I added the ntp service to the list of advertised services.  I have a Grandstream 2160 VOIP phone that will not get correct date/time from AREDN node NTP server.  I have successfully retrieved time/date info from us.pool.ntp.org with the phone while connected to the WAN, so I know that it is capable of retrieving and applying it.  I've also set up DHCP option #42 on the AREDN node and populated it with the IP value of the AREDN node.  I have set both

Is MeshPhone just the generic name for VOIP on AREDN or is there an actual application called MeshPhone?

VOIP issue using 3cx over Mesh

Can anyone assist me with a VoIP issue.
Have 2x Mikrotik hap ac lite routers. Using 3cx on a windows PC. 2x Grandstream Gxp1625 phones.
If both phones are plugged into the same router as the VoIP server they work fine. Plug one phone into the other router and get nothing.
It's obviously a config issue. But I'm at a loss in what to change to get the VoIP working over Wlan.
Any help appreciated

just a short query - as AREDN runs on OpenWRT, did anybody ever try to install Asterisk or FreePBX directly on a node? there seem to exist packages for that...

Hamshack hotline and meshphone

I've seen it mentioned several times that Hamshack hotline works "behind the mesh" quite well. How are you guys doing that? Are you using a HHUS trunk to your pbx and any phone you want or are you using their config file on one of the approved phones and adding a second line for meshphone? Can anyone point me to a write up on how to perform the trunk option?
I'm new to all this but I have freepbx running in a docker container on a pi attached to my node with a couple soft phones that work and a couple different Cisco phones I have converted to sip but have not configured for my pbx yet.
