AREDN Mesh Map - Not displaying all the nodes

Forums:

I've read through a number of posts but I don't have a definitive understanding as to why the other nodes we've setup in the area aren't showing on the map.

AREDN Node Behind a Firewall

Forums:

I have had good results placing my nodes behind independent firewalls on independent public IP addresses, but I'm not particularly happy with the fact I simply forward all incoming TCP and UDP ports from the Internet to the nodes.  It's a bit like handing out the keys to the kingdom for hackers.  The only defense is the iptables settings in the node, but I like to have redundancy whenever possible.

Powering A Mikrotik HAP

Forums:
I'm putting together a new go kit with a Mikrotik HAP AC Lite and was wondering what you guy's recommended for an RF quiet 12-24v step up converter. I've looked at a lot of older posts and most of the links are no longer valid.

Open WAN tunnels from inside local.mesh

Forums:

Hi Old Men.
We have (here in Scandicci FI JN53OS) a hill-top repeater station rack with VHF and UHF FM repeaters. We plan to make UHF repeater a C4FM or DSTAR repeater using a RPi as gateway. The repeater station have a AREDN node (MikroTik RouterBOARD SXT 5HPnD SXT 5 High Power) called IQ5BL-VALICAIA connected to another one  called IZ5FSA-5-140 connected D2D to my hAP WAN capable node called IZ5FSA-HOME.

Need help with improving SQ

Forums:
Hi everyone,

Help needed interfacing MikroTik SXTsq Lite & Raspberry pi

Forums:
Hi folks, I was hoping somebody here might be able to help me. My goal was to have a  AREDN radio connected to a raspberry pi via ethernet. The Pi would then be connected to my WiFi so that I could VNC into the Pi and access the node. I realize this sounds convoluted, but I am unable to use 192.168.1.x in my home network and an forced to use 192.168.5.x due to a conflict with a home power management system. So I have AREDN running on the MikroTik SXTsq Lite and its connected to the Pi via ethernet.

How to remove non existant nodes from map?

Forums:

Can anyone tell me how to remove old nodes that no longer exist, from the map?  I have moved and my old nodes are still being listed causing some confusion to the folks out there.

The nodes are:
K6PC-10
K6PC-19
K6PC-24-10

Thank you!

Co-located node connection process?

Forums:

I know it isn't best practice to have multiple, more-or-less co-located nodes on the same band and channel, but I am not sure how else to accomplish what I need.  I have a directional node on a tower elsewhere on my property several hundred feet away, it is facing away from my shack location in my house.  Its too far to run an Ethernet cable to the tower node, and also too far to reach directly from my shack node over the air.  I've placed 2 intermediate nodes between me and the tower node, I get some connectivity to the tower node, but clearly having multiple systems on the same band
