Where are Installed Packages Configured?

Forums:
I have a number of packages installed but can't seem to find where to configure them.

I have tried new UI, old UI and SSH but it's unclear.

A few examples;

The gpsd-clients package needs to be pointed to the gpsd stream coming from another system on the network.

For the snmpd package it would be useful to configure the SNMP version and set a string name.

Thanks,

x86 dtd not working?

Forums:
I have a Mikrotik hap ac lite, and I have an x86 AREDN installation. I cannot get them to talk to each other when I connect them together. Both are running the latest firmware image.

I suspect no issues with the hap, I can dtd with other devices successfully. I cannot dtd with any other devices from the x86 aredn box.

I have ensured that vlans are setup correctly (2). I am all out of ideas. I am curious if anyone else has gotten device to device to work between an x86 and non-x86 AREDN installation.

Thanks,
Adam

Edge Router X SFP Configuration

Forums:
I have tried just about everything I can think of to get this working on my own, but I believe I'm missing something critical with existing documentation. Hopefully y'all can see what I'm overlooking go get this working.

Wireguard VPN tunnels

Forums:
The Wireguard VPN was recently added to the latest AREDN nightly builds.  Not only is it more secure, preliminary testing shows that it's noticeably faster.

Requirements - you have to be on a currently nightly build (as does the node on the other end of the tunnel), and the port forwarding requirements for the server end are different.   The documentation is here: https://docs.arednmesh.org/en/latest/arednGettingStarted/advanced_config... In it search for Wireguard.

Forums:
Whats the goto NODE currently for 5ghz Sector?  We are getting Tower space for a new install soon and need to purchase some nodes.

the hardware list on the main aredn page

Forums:
Does anyone know if the AREDN team will be doing an update to the supported hardware list that is linked on the main page?

The one that is listed is from April of 2024 and a bunch of the Mikrotik stuff is gone from the Mikrotik website.

Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M900

Forums:
Hi,
Recently I tuned this device to channel -2 (Frequency 2397). It worked and I was able to join the mesh. So I'm just wondering if there's any downside of this or anybody tried this before?

New KG6WXC Meshmap

Forums:
73 All.
Just in case anyone cares or wants to help, there is a new version of my map available.
It's still kind of rough, but it does work.
I am actively working on it.
I have no written install instructions yet (I could use some help with that actually), as there is only so much time in a day.

The polling and webpage have been broken up into separate repositories now.

Mapping local AREDN network

Forums:
I have discovered:

This has a failed link:

This is a front-end for the back-end KG6WXC-mesh, but
the back-end has an installation flaw.
