WAN Wifi Access -Tethering
Good Evening. I am working to make my AREDN nodes as portable as possible. Currently I am not able to connect to my Iphone hot-spot or any  internet acces point through the WAN Wifi.  I have turned off the mesh, saved the configuration and rebooted. I am working with an Iphone 14, that will allow any other computer to join my hot-spot just not the AREDN. I have tried with the Hap AC lite, USB150. I have confirmed the SSID and password.  I have attached a picture for reference.

To troubleshoot I have used the radio on another Hap AClite and connected to the USB150 just not remote through my phone..

Thank you for any help.

What is the security setting on the hotspot?  And confirm that the iPhone is operating as a hotspot on 2.4 GHz.
I know it works as I have used a GLiNet USB150 as a WiFi client from several different WiF APs including a iPhone.

Good Morning. Thank you for the response.
I have turn on the Iphone 14 "Maximize Capability" setting this switches it to 2.4g radio. As far as the Personal Hotspot security, I have "Allow others to join" and I have a strong password. I am not finding any other security parameters that might be limiting me..  Am I missing something?

Thank you,

Brian

Could it be the type of encryption on the hotspot?
Could it be the type of encryption on the hotspot?  The AREDN node uses WPA2 PSK only.

We are getting closer.
We are getting closer.  I did change the encryption to WPA2. I also found that the USB150 password has to be different than the Hotpsot SSID.
I am now connected to the IPhone14 Hotspot but the USB node says not connected to the internet.

Thank you for the help..

Update..   I got the Hotspot to work on my Hap AClite.. Thank you all..

I set my USB150 to use my Samsung S03.
Refreshed page on browser.
Committed.
Rebooted.
Worked.
Does your 'RADIO' page look like mine?

Aside: It does not SCAN.
