Upgrade changed my MAC
I just upgraded my Rocket M2 XW from 3.24.x.x to 3.25.2.0.   After reboot I discovered the MAC had changed.
Before upgrade the MAC was e0:63:da:d3:c3:35 and now it's 02:ec:84:fb:0f:3d

Is this normal?

Are you sure you were looking
Are you sure you were looking at the same port?  RF vs LAN vs WAN, vs DtD all have different MACs

Yes.  I have the WAN port
Yes.  I have the WAN port plugged into my PFSense network with a static IP address.  When it rebooted after the upgrade, it grabbed a new dynamic IP address and not it's original static IP address.  I looked into my status list in my PFSense DHCP Server and discovered it had changed.

PFSense DHCP Server
n1obu:

Create a DHCP pool on your PFSense server which includes your desired address, then
reserve that address for your device.

I did that.
I did that.

My home configuration is using PFSense for my main Firewall.   My Rocket M2 is assigned a static IP address within the DHCP pool (192.168.10.51).

After upgrading and rebooting the Rocket M2 grabbed a dynamic IP address from my pool (200-225).  It grabbed IP address 192.168.10.220.

When I looked through my DHCP leases, I discovered it had changed MAC addresses.  I was able to access the Rocket M2 on the .220 address.

I have rebooted the Rocket M2 several times and it still grabs a dynamic IP address based on it's new MAC address.

static .vs. dynamic
I also use PFSense as my 'main home router'.

"I did that."
I think you did not update PFSense to RESERVE the new MAC in the new IP pool.

If you are going to assign a host a static IP address, then
I suggest that you disable DHCP on that host.

Or,
If you leave DHCP enabled on that host,
create a (new) DHCP pool that contains your desired IP address and reserve that address
in PFSense for the MAC of that host.

My original post was asking
My original post was asking why my Rocket M2 changed it's MAC address after an upgrade.  I can change my static IP mapping in PFSense to the new MAC address.  I was more concerned if it is a bug or by design that the MAC address changed and was wondering if anyone else experienced their MAC address changing on the WAN port after upgrading to 3.25

Sorry. I do not have an an answer to your question.

"Is this normal?"

Likely, no.

It seems that your Rocket M2 is set to obtain an IP address via DHCP.
It seems that your Rocket M2 did not have a 'static' assigned IP address.
Semanticly, you seem to have been using a "DHCP reservation" and not a "static" address.

Is this normal? IDK, but it is a pain in the tush
I had to hand edit my dhcpd.db files to recover my pfSense DHCP IP assignment with the new MAC.
What a pain!
