Ubiquiti Bullet form factor
I really like the Ubiquity Bullet  for it's compact size and shape. I see the Bullet AC dual band is not supported. I also see the Bullet-m2 xw is released but not tested. Is there other stable hardware that fits the Bullet style? It's hard to tell from the product descriptions the exact model.
When I search Ubiquity Bullet M2(XW) this is the description that comes up on Amazon.
 Ubiquiti BULLET-M2-HP Outdoor 802.11 B/G/N M2HP.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Scott, because they only have one RF feed, they're "SISO" devices (Single Input, Single Output).  The vast majority of AREDN supported devices are MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output).  They have two transceivers and two antennas, one vertically polarized, one horizontally polarized.  By virtue of being MIMO and running 802.11n (or 802.11ac) they can simultaneously transmit two data streams on the same channel, which are recovered and combined on the receiving end, leading to almost double the throughput for the same SNR.
Because of this, all SISO devices that AREDN currently supports are on OpenWrt's 'sunset' list, and eventually will no longer be supported.
There are a lot of really good, inexpensive devices supported by the AREDN software.  You can find them on the Supported Devices list.

That makes more sense now! The bullet would fit in my suitcase much better when I travel. I have a couple of the MikroTik hAP ac lite nodes and a couple of M2-400.  I know that the 2ghz is not recommended but I live in a rural mountain area and there is not much noise on the 2ghz -1 and -2. I guess I should concentrate on 5ghz though.

I just love my GL inet AR750.
It fits in my backback (or in my pocket),
is dual band, MIMO, and micro USB powered.

If you're just looking for a small travel node, then GL.iNet is still manufacturing/supporting the AR300M16.  Perfect for travel and then remotely accessing your home AREDN network via tunnel.
