SXTsq25ac used as a link between 2 buildings
Greetings! I have recently moved from California to Kentucky. Almost no AREDN here. Therefor I changed my call to N4RLS. I created a new account under that call but it has not been approved yet. So I am posting on this old call account. I have 2 of these SXTsq25ac panel antennas. I have installed the latest firmware. ISSUE 1 Panel Antenna #1 does not get an IP Adress via DHCP ISSUE 2 Panel Antenna #2 connects easily to Panel Antenna #1 However there is no Mesh Gateway listed. ISSUE 3 I cannot ping my home router or get an internet connection via the rf link. My problem could be I do not have a VLAN SW at either end of the link. I am wondering if this is the issue? The SXT units would be on DTD ports on VLAN2 on the far end local traffic would be on VLAN1? The home router is plugged into the non-tagged port? I think this is the solution. I have not found a good tutorial on setting something like this up. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you send a DM to Randy WU2S, he may be able to migrate your old account to a new callsign.

I cannot find a description of SXTsq25ac on the internet.
Does it exist?

You do not need AREDN firmware to 'link between 2 buildings'.
The factory firmware will do this better than AREDN firmware.

AREDN firmware can help create a local AREDN network via RF links or via a tunnel server.
AREDN firmware can help join a local AREDN network via RF or a tunnel.

Are you creating an AREDN network or joining an AREDN network?
