Self Inflicted Stupid Error and Solution
Hi all.

Just like the good old days when the first piece of troubleshooting advice was "check the power connection", in more modern parlance, check the cable connections is the second and it fixed my issue.  Damn!  I really wish I had started troubleshooting like a good old analog TV.

After spending a couple of months down in the OS and software weeds trying to troubleshoot a DNS conflict issue with my MikroTik hAP, I have now got my Base Station unit up and running again. All it took was looking at my PC's wired network connection and realizing that it was not connected into my hAP.  Rather it was connected via a cable into my 8-port switch, the same same switch that my hAP was connected into.  A closer look indicated that the cable labeled hAP to PC was connected to the hAP but the other end was laying unconnected on the ground, among a nest of cables. No wonder I was having DNS conflicts, my PC was not connected to the hAP.

So, while my tunnel connection on the mesh is working, I'm back to trying to putting all my network connections back to the way they were.  Talk about making a LOT of unnecessary work for oneself.  I'm curious if others have had similar situations. :)
