Hey All,
Out of curiosity, can somebody describe the Part 97 usage restrictions for AREDN? I can understand it if we would use the part 97 band allocation channels for transmission. But if we were to use the normal part 15 channels, then what is the need for the ham requirement?
Realize, I am not arguing against it, I just want to understand it

IMHO, it is not a restriction, it is a feature and/or benefit.
Many, if not most, of my devices use channels common to both Part 15 and 97.
#1 benefit is a channel clear of Part 15 channel sharing.
