These are NB-2G18's. They're M2, not M5. I bought 2, 5-packs last month from this guy. They're a real good deal at $32 a piece. They need clean-up when you get them, but so far all have worked fine. And as you will see from our Matrix, the 2G18 is supported by AREDN.
Thanks, Joe, I have that one, but the unit just hangs for ever. Tried it a couple of times. Get the message about non support of long passwords, then "Please wait, updating Firmware.
Reboot via power plug goes back to the 5.6.2 version.
Thanks everyone, I am going to order a couple of 5 packs to distribute locally, I just didn't want to get stuck with 10 units that would not work.

There's a slot on the barrel. Use a screwdriver blade to pry the slot open enough to release the retaining tang. I agree they could have done a better job of engineering that.
OK, I did that but they were all stuck tight. Anyway a little WD40 and time and I was able to pry them loose.
Interestingly all 5 had different sw versions but all 5.5 or earlier. All working - great - new toys!!
I mentioned in my last post that all 5 nodes were working - what I meant to say is all 5 booted to AirOS. I have one node that is ubnt sw v5.3. When I try to upgrade to AREDN it says insufficient memory??? I thought I could maybe update to 5.5.x sw then try again BUT ubnt site only shows 5.6.x sw versions.
Anyone else have this problem - any ideas on a workaround??

Sorry - false alarm - I was in the wrong section of the System page. Operator Error !!
I have had several of these surplus units up and running on short (1-2miles) paths. Have notice the LQ and NLQ fluctuate wildly at times. Swapped out one unit and the second unit appeared to be much stronger on throughput. Has anyone seen similar results? DO these units degrade over time or tend to just stop working altogether?
I'm looking at the AirMax M Series "nanobridge" product sheet: https://dl.ubnt.com/datasheets/nanobridgem/nbm_ds_web.pdf
There is only the NB-M218. Could this bulk lot be "nanobeems" or something else?

One is an M2 w/ 5.6 software. Where is the previous 5.5 version? Thanks.
Also one of my 5 units is an M5. I have asked vendor to send either another M5 or M2. The M5 would give me a pair.

It works w/ Chrome, but NOT IE. Thanks Darryl - second time I got stupid in the last year.

My 5 pack arrived today. I am having a devil of a time separating the feed from the feed support, for cleaning and routing of cable. Any tips?
