I don't know if the MikroTik hAP ac3 has been addressed with an issue. I picked one up. Its setup to mesh with OTA nodes. It will not start working the mesh to other nodes till you his scan wifi.To detect other nodes after a power cycle it will not detect other nodes till you hit wifi scan. Then it works fine to the next reboot.
Im running the lates nightly build.

I had Nightly 20240123 on my hAP-ac3 and it was configured as an Access Point on 5 GHz.
I changed my hAP-ac3 from a 5GHz Access Point to a 5 GHz node on channel 183@20 MHz.
It linked with my RBSXTsqHP5nD.
I changed my hAP-ac3 from 5 GHz node to 2 GHz node on channel 6@20 MHz.
It linked wit my GL-iNET AR750 and AR300M16.
I loaded Nightly 20240302 and configured the hAP-ac3 as a 5 GHz Access Point.
I see it on my cellphone.

I configured it as a 2 GHz node on channel 6 at 20 MHz.

Am I doing something different than what you did?

Anyways. I think its working fine now. I made a mistake about three days ago. Plugged my bullet straight to the network while I was tired. I started seeing strange IP popping up on the network that shouldn't have been. IP scanner used and found the bullet. lol It took over every device one by one. I had to crash the whole network to recover. oops. I started setting everything with IP address and VLAN now. will plug the bullet back into a aredn device soon.
