I recently discovered that devices on the LAN ports of my MikroTik hAP AC2 download from internet extremely slow. I would like to know if anyone else has this issue.
To be clear, a Raspberry Pi 4 or even a Windows 10 laptop connected to one of the default LAN ports (2, 3 or 4), trying to access Internet through the WAN port (1), is the problem due to extremely slow download speeds.
I can run a speed test using the browser pointed to https://www.speedtest.net/. Download speeds are super slow and on the order of 0.50 Mbps. Upload speeds are fast, 38.0 Mbps more or less.
On my house LAN (not through the hAP AC2), download speeds typically may be 370 Mbps and upload 33 Mbps. And that was just a test I did now, as the speeds there remain high but vary a lot. (No problem there.)
I have also used other tests, for example using 'wget' to download 'Rufus' from GitHub.com:
The file should be received within a few seconds, but through the hAP AC2 it is so slow that I don't think I ever had the patience to actually the final results. I see download status like this "31.7KB/s".
The Internet feed cable to hAP AC2 port 1 tests nice and fast.
I even borrowed another hAP AC2 and I get the same results.
I also went back many versions of hAP AC2 firmware and got the same results. I am currently on last night's nightly.
Thanks, Mike

I can connected another computer directly to the WAN cable and speeds are good.
I'll try with only one LAN port (out of 3) connected on the HAP. Maybe there is some kind of LAN interaction slowing things down.
It's odd that only the internet (WAN) downlaod speed is slow.
