I am trying to get a Mikrotik BaseBox 2 upgraded from December release to the most recent and it will not go.
Current Version: 3.22.12.0
Hardware Type: (ar71xx/mikrotik) mikrotik (rb-912uag-2hpnd)
The file I am trying to use is: aredn-3.23.4.0-ath79-mikrotik-mikrotik_routerboard-912uag-2hpnd-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
The error I see is:
Firmware CANNOT be updated firmware file is not valid
According to this URL, the status is "released": https://github.com/aredn/aredn/blob/main/SUPPORTED_DEVICES.md
(Also: http://downloads.arednmesh.org/firmware/html/SUPPORTED_DEVICES.md)
Any idea what's going on?
Thanks, Mike
Okay, the process worked although there is one problem. The router works fine (passes traffic) and has all previous settings however I cannot get to the Setup screen. I see:
Bad Gateway
The process did not produce any response
Everything else WiFi scan, charts, Mesh Status, Neighbor Status, all look good.

Could you send a screen shot of the status page? Also the support data for this node immediately after generating the Bad Gateway message? Then I can take a look.
Thanks
Tim
I can do the screenshot but cannot get to the support data from the GUI as just selecting setup gives me the Bad Gateway message. I can ssh into the node. Is there an alternate way of getting the support data?
Thanks, Mike
Thanks! And, attached is the support data file.

For whatever it might be worth, I used the browser for http://[ip]/cgi-bin/... for each executable there and the only one that did not work was "setup".
Also, the "supporttool" works and I'm attaching another capture of that here.
Somehow this page doesn't like the file extension:
"The selected file supportdata-K4QJZ-BB2-202304260042.gz cannot be uploaded. Only files with the following extensions are allowed: tgz."
So, I renamed the .gz to .tgz.

Any suggestion on what I should do or is the support data still being looked into?
There's no big hurry as the node otherwise seems to function okay.
Thanks, Mike
