mesh netwwork in so cal

   OK, folks from So Cal have been promoting the usage of mesh network during an emergency. I have not seen any reports on if it getting used or not? No detail on the usage and what is emergency service doing within mesh network. I am seeing current technology been use, NO amateur radio help. It is unfortunate that the fire did get started my heart goes to al the people in the disaster zone. What is the network being use for, ie, fax, telephone, cameras, and anything else.
