Limiting WAN access within a number of hops
I did not find any references to this idea in a forum search so...

Is there a possibility of implementing a feature to limit WAN access through an AREDN node to nodes/stations some specific number of hops away?   This would prevent nodes/stations more than <x> number of hops away, such as 12 hops, from trying to use a WAN-enabled node and thus bog the path over those hops down.   Nodes/stations  at or less than the set number of hops away would have WAN access, which is more likely to be viable and usable.

Around here, I would limit it to like three hops max.  YMMV.
