I sure am. I'm in the East coast with a decent RF mesh. I run the FLMesh supernode(s) and a few tunnel servers in the area. (Under my call and our group's call, N4TDX)
That's great to hear! I am trying to stand up a mesh down hear in South Florida (Miami/Homestead) area. We have two small nodes to run traffic between the club tower and shack. In addition, we will soon be putting a sector antenna (or two) with a 2.4GHz Rocket @ 70ft. This will hopefully give locals somewhere to connect to.
The small mesh is connected via tunnel to my QTH node and that is about the extent of our network so far. Hoping to get some interest from the local hams.
Would it be prudent to connect my node to one of your Tunnel servers? This would give us a bit more exposure into the mesh world and expand our reach.
I just moved from Rhode Island to Bradenton Fl (2weeks ago) and it appears to be dead here as well. I have a plan that I/we used in RI that is working very well with 34 nodes and most are RF nodes and growing. I intend to implement my plan soon as I get settled in. Please contact me if you would like to setup a tunnel and work on a large RF network for FL statewide. It will be a lot of work and commitment but I believe it will be well worth the effort! With the resent hurricanes we know redundancy is key in emergency management!
