We made an IP-2-IP-connection Yealink T46 - Ubiquity M5 ----------- Uniquity M5 - Yealink T42.
Everything worked fine and an HD-Audio connection was automatically established.
Everything worked perfectly up to a distance of 12 km.
For longer distances we wand to reduce the data volume.
Where can I configure in the yealink-phone (edit) IP-to-IP that I don't want to use HD voice quality and the "G729" codec is sufficient?
Where can I deactivate or delete the other codecs? (deleting them from the accounts in the phone doesn't help because IP-to-IP doesn't refer to an account).
I haven't found any settings and ChatGPT wasn't any help this time either.
Any ideas? Thanks, Urs

I think the AREDN link is totally unaware of any codec embedded in the transport.
I think this is only controlled by the IP phone.
So, is there a TCP in this IP link?
If yes, then UDP would be =< TCP data volume.

Thanks for reply! You are right, this is an issue in the phone, not the hap.
Maybe someone did these tests already and can give me a hint to switzerland.
Thanks again! Urs
The function is not documented in the manuals.
In the config-file, you can use account 17 (on T48S it is hidden) to configure the codec for IP2IP.
A return is not possible. you have to do a factory-reset.
