Bullet m2hp xw with 1439-cdd1f8e w/ errors on save.
I've been working on a bullet that keeps reseting itself. I
I performed a tftp to my bullet and flashed it to aredn-1439-cdd1f8e-ath79-ubnt_bullet-m-xw-factory.bin
Each time I try to save my settings on this bullet it returns errors below.
After a reboot, the values are saved, except the new password is not updated.

Additionally, the tunnel software will not load. The install never happens and returns this error:
|
ERROR: Package installation failed! |
Tunnel software needs to be installed. |
Has anyone had these errors?
I have been working with this problem for a week.
Now the bullet has reset itself to NOCALL again.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,

Now my brand new Litebeam XW M5 that I just flashed to AREDN is doing the same thing. As soon as I unplug the power to the horn to move it to the station on the roof it goes immediately into tftp mode. Every time. Is there something wrong with the new firmware. aredn-3.20.3.0-ar71xx-ubnt-lbe-m5-factory.bin
I was in the ubiquiti firmware version 6.17 XW, then I flashed the devise to the AREDN version above, and now it resets every time I unplug it. Now I cannot access it, I obtain no ip addresses from the device. I hope there is a fix, or a revert to firmware that will save the device. Any help will be appreciated.

I have been fighting this same issue for weeks. I have a litebeam, bullet m2hp, and a powerbeam m2 400 that all present this behavior. I have replaced the bullet and powerbeam with new devices only to see the same behavior again imediately after flashing them to aredn 3.20.3. I have tried to downgrade the firmware, to no avail. The only solution to keeping them up is not connecting dtd on the vlan or any lan. I only have them interconnected by wifi. They stay up just fine with no connection. I suspect the firmware. By the way, I purchases new cables and poe, it is not them. I have a powerbeam m5 400 and an inet ar750 that are connected dtd and do not reset. Also, after I reset the devices and reloaded the xx71 factory firmware the "save" functions just fine now, but the resets continue when connected to the vlan.
Are other people on your mesh?
do you have a strong password (ie. not "password", "password123", "monkey", "hsmm", "aredn", k5edj", etc...
Are your cables factory made?
Can you test them with a cable tester?
Are these devices new or used?
Are the cat5 jacks on the devices have clean and shiny pins (not crossed)?
Brand new cat 6 cables clean and shiny. Brand new devices. This is my location with only my nodes connected. New password, not any that you mentioned. I do not have a cable tester. Cables are factory new within two weeks.
