To all who are interested in learning more about AREDN, please join us at the NS9RC field day event, the afternoon of June 25th at Clarkson Park in Northfield, IL.
I will have two larger relay nodes on site and spread out, with IP Phones, cameras, and one of which is entirely battery powered. Additionally, I will have several other nodes around for demonstrations and testing. If you have any AREDN hardware about, please bring it as well and get it connected into our network. If you have a new device, I'll be happy to help you flash the AREDN firmware to it on site. It is a good opportunity to explore AREDN a bit, do some testing, and if you have any questions I'll be happy to talk you though it.
Hardware will include:
- NS9RC Relay Station
- Mikrotik LHGXL "NS9RC-5G-LHGXL"
- IP Camera
- IP Phone
- Ubiquiti Rocket M2 / Ubiquiti 120° Sector Antenna "KV3T-2G-RELAY"
- KV3T Service Station
- Ubiquiti Rocket M2 / Cisco high gain patch antenna "NS9RC-2G-M2"
- PTZ IP Camera
- IP Phone
- KV3T Service Node
- GL.iNet GL-AR300M "KV3T-2G-AR300M"
- KV3T Service Node
- GL.iNet GL-AR150 "KV3T-2G-AR150"
- NS9RC Service Node
- GL.iNet GL-AR150 "KV3T-2G-AR150"
- KV3T Cell Phone Service Node (Can connect your cell phone directly to the mesh)
- GL.iNet GL-USB150 "KV3T-2G-USB150"
- Can demo using a cellphone directly on the mesh to call the other IP phones
- Additionally, we will be be connected to CAREDN, so you will be able to see all other devices on the CAREDN network, and see all other services hosted there.
I cannot wait to show off and play with these nodes. I'll see you all there.
All the best,
Casey
