Hi There,
I would appreciate help as I need to have a 5 MHz channel width to connect to the node “VE7MIR-KU-Rptr-NW” some 50 km from my location. Connecting with this node has been tested from my location with a MikroTik LGH 5 XL node and a SNR of 27 dB was obtained.
See page 1 of the attached file "MikroTik_LHGXL5AC_5MHz_ Forum_Submission.pdf" which provides details of the node I wish to connect to. Note that the SSID is “AREDN-5-v3” indicating a 5 MHz channel width.
My node is MikroTik LGH XL 5 ac (RBLHGG-acD-XL). The firmware loaded is 3.24.6.0 with the kernel and system files taken from “MikroTik RouterBOARD LHG 5 AC XL” listed below:
aredn-3.24.6.0-ipq40xx-mikrotik-mikrotik_lhgg-5acd-xl-initramfs-kernel.bin
aredn-3.24.6.0-ipq40xx-mikrotik-mikrotik_lhgg-5acd-xl-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
My node status page is shown in page 2 of the attached file "MikroTik_LHGXL5AC_5MHz_ Forum_Submission.pdf". The firmware and model matches the hardware and firmware used.
Page 3 of the attached file "MikroTik_LHGXL5AC_5MHz_ Forum_Submission.pdf" shows that the channel width options on my Node's firmware are either 10 MHz or 20 MHz. 5 MHz is not an option.
To connect to “VE7MIR-KU-Rptr-NW” a 5 MHz channel width is needed.
Can a 5 MHz channel width be provided in the nightly build of the “MikroTik RouterBOARD LHG 5 AC XL”firmware?

Also, because the 5 MHz channel width is not supported on the LHG 5ac driver, you are not allowed to select it from the dropdown list, which allows only the 10 & 20 MHz channel widths. (from /etc/radios.json on the node)
