Blue IRIS with a Ubiquiti G3 camera?
I am trying to configure Blue Iris to work with my Ubiquiti G3 camera.  No joy!  Has anyone done this?  I have set it up RTSP.

The camera works fine with UnifiVideo, but wanted it to be available on a screen with other cameras and then on the i-net.

thanks

This is probably a question
This is probably a question better asked/searched on the Ubiquiti forums or of BlueIris support..

The instructions will be the same for those systems using private lans as it would be for AREDN and those groups would have a much better knowledge of the device than those of us here on AREDN.

AREDN networks are not significantly different from standard home LAN networks, they are self contained not internet routable private ip space networks which means instructions for LAN connections apply to AREDN.

The only items you have to look out for if they tell you to do anything that uses encryption you might have to modify that step to be an unencrypted connection if your going remotely over the air (eg if they say "connect via https" you instead connect via HTTP and make sure it doesn't redirect you to HTTPS or you connect when your on the same mesh node so that it doesn't go out over the air encrypted)

Besides enabling RTSP under the camera settings and grabbing the RTSP link in the NVR, make sure that the global RTSP streaming service is enabled under the NVR settings(at the bottom of page). Also remember to use the NVR IP address, not the camera's IP.

It is probably easier to test the RTSP link on VLC or any other media player with support for that.

Thanks for the responses!  I did figure out how to set up in Blue Iris and helped three others in the process.

I will start checking out and following up on all comments tomorrow.

Thanks again.
