Hello,
I posted this in the other thread - but it didn't show as the latest post - since someone perusing may miss my question - I am posting here JIC:

I have line of sight to Mt. Hamilton in San Jose - I have a radio up now - Ubiquiti Bullet 5GHz.
What is the latest on this? Is there a radio on Mt. Hamilton?

Have you heard if anything got setup? I'm down in Hollister and have two 5Ghz radios. Would like to get a link going north. Been trying to stir intrest in getting the California backbone extend up to the central coast/bay area with no luck so far.

That would be great, my email is chris@dunns.net. I have two 5Ghz radios, one on the roof of my shop and another that is portable. I'm close to the 156/Fairview intersection, so the north part of the county. Been trying to get the local ham group here in the county to get interested and this might help that as a single person can't show to much.

I dont know any thing about what's developing in the south bay. I see that a few nodes have popped up on the aredn map.
Im giving a talk to ORCA in oakland about AREDN in Feb. I can give it again to other clubs if needed.
This Friday is BAYCON run by BayNet. They have 2 prime locations in the east bay and south west bay to install Hub @.
Here is a map with the active nodes. black circles represent possible hub sites. Purple lines track the VPN tunnel clients.
