Greetings all,
In the Ottawa area of Canada, we are trying to take advantage of the warm weather to expand our BBHN network. The supply of used NanoBridges and NanoStations is quickly drying up. Is there any news concerning flashable firmware for the new AirGrids. I am aware that these devices are shown in yellow on the hardware compatibility chart and have been that way for quite some time. Is there any hope for a solution in the near future? We have experimented with the NanoBeams and while they are interesting, so far, our tests equate their performance to an expensive equivalent of the Loco.
Any news would be most welcome.
Thanks and 73.

They are made for 2GHz, 3GHz, and 5GHz, but not for 900MHz.

Thank you for the info on the Rocket and RD-xGxx series. We do not have any installed yet and maybe it is time. Everything we buy here costs us 1.4 times the USA sticker price, so a financial challenge. The old NanoBridge M2 and M5 are very good but there are very few available used or new. Old (used) and new NanoStations are available.
We are looking at installing our first M3 long haul link so maybe the Rocket and RD-3G24 would be the way to go.
Thanks again.

Great thing is, this looks like a DirecTv dish for those of us in HOAs--which is tollerated here. Just have to explain why it seems to be pointed at the ground :) .

You could mount the entire thing "up side down" so it looks like it's pointing at the sky... But in reality still pointing at the same spot on the horizon. Most people probably won't notice that it's not looking at the same patch of sky the other dishes are pointed to.
I heard DishNetwork and DirectTV are testing a new ground-bounce satellite technology... (wink wink)
