Ubiquiti fiirmware update fails
I downloaded the newest update file for my Rocket.  An old Rocket M2 XW on firmware 3.22.12.0 tried to update to 3.24.10.0 from the admin menu and it tells me it will reboot twice and will have to reload the browser, etc.  Browser times out, I go back in and still on old firmware.  I never see it reboot.  I power cycle it, and it still comes up on old firmware.  I have tried several times, all with the same result.
DOCS for installing Ubiquit only show first installs, nothing for upgrading a Ubiquiti.
AM I doing something wrong?  Can I TFTP the entire firmware?  Will I have to go back to the stock Ubiquiti firmware first?
I'm new at this, no other nodes in my area, south of Myrtle Beach, SC.  So trying to get something going here.

Alternate update method
Mike, I've seen that happen occasionally, too.  Try the alternate update method:  download the sysupgrade file to your computer then upload from there.

The way I have been trying is to download the update file to my computer, and upload it to the Rocket.

Upating very old hardware and firmware
This is the method that I have used successfully with a lot of old devices:

I have upgraded many very old nodes to the latest nightly builds.
The oldest set of nodes was running 3.19.3.0
The only reliable way I have found to update old nodes is to install each release after the one currently installed on a node, noe at a time, in ascending sequence.
This worked on all my old nodes.
I even have AirRouters and Nanostation Locos running the current Nightly Build after upgrading them step-by-step.

The sequence is:
3.19.3.0
3.20.3.0
3.20.3.1
3.21.4.0
3.22.1.0
3.22.6.0
3.22.8.0
3.22.12.0
3.23.4.0
3.23.8.0
3.23.12.0
3.24.4.0
3.24.6.0
3.24.10.0
Current Nightly Build

Glad it's resolved.
It does work better with the correct firmware!
Glad you got it resolved.
