Bullet M2 - sunset

Hello,

For several years, I used a Bullet M2 on my antenna tower with an omni antenna, and it provided excellent WiFi coverage. Unfortunately, not only is the device no longer working, but it's also outdated with only 8 MB of flash memory. I haven't found a good alternative to the Bullet M2, except for the Mikrotik Groove, but it seems that its chipset is not supported. I particularly liked the Bullet for its ease of flashing and updating via power injectior with the embedded reset button, so I didn't need to climb the tower.

Do you have any recommendations for a similar device that would be supported for the coming years?

Device Info
Bruno, the old Bullets are not MIMO devices, as almost all of the AREDN-supported devices are now.  As such it wouldn't interoperate well with MIMO devices. Additionally most AREDN folks have moved to 5 GHZ devices, as there are more channels and a wider selection of devices.
If you need to stay on 2 GHz for local connectivity, there are a number of 2 GHz devices supported by AREDN. You can find them in the Support Devices table.
The good news for you is, all Ubiquiti devices still support the remote reset feature if you need it (it's rarely needed with the current software).

Hope this helps.
