dtd link over point to point
Hello,
I have two mesh sites A and B.
I would like to link mesh network in site A to mesh network in site B so they can work as a single mesh network sharing services and gateways.
We have a point to point wireless link of 55 km between these two sites. The point to point link is made of two Mikrotik Dynadish and they are using Mikrotik Proprietary NV2 Protocol.
Question: how can I connect site A to site B through that point-to-point link ?
I have on site the following router available
NETGEAR ProSAFE Plus GS105Ev2

You got it, you need a DtD port at site A and at Site B.
You need to connect the DtD port to each end of the
"Mikrotik Proprietary NV2 Protocol".
Whereas you did not mention which AREDN compatible device(s) you have at each site,
you may need a GS-105Ev2 (or similar) at each end.
Have you tried this without a GS105Ev2 at either end?

Hello NC8Q,
Hello NC8Q,
thanks for your reply. I am using a couple of TPLink CPE510 devices for their simplicity to upload aredn firmware. So far I have just one GS-105Ev2. I will get another one so I can try to do a  dtd at both end of Mikrotik NV2 configuration.
Initially for the point to point link of 55 km, I wanted to use two Mikrotik LHG XL HP5 devices since they are supported by  aredn.
LHG XL HP5 devices using mikrotik proprietary NV2 Protocol, one can establish a stable link of around 50 to 60 km.
I was not sure if I change the original firmware and load aredn firmware, I could still have the same performance reaching easily the same distance... That was my dilema.

Two ways
If you have the ability to create a new VLAN on the MikroTik link and present it to each AREDN node (as vlan 2) you can do DtD that way. Another way is to use the existing subnet on the link and use it as the underlying transport for a tunnel. Each node would need 1 IP address and would tunnel to each other (one client, one server). This existing subnet would need to be presented to the nodes on their WAN interface. In simpler terms, treat whatever's on that link as "the internet" and run a tunnel over it as you would normally. This is the preferred way. Ian

I use VLAN so far to provide
I use VLAN so far to provide internet access through one mesh network gateway. I did not know this also could be a way to do DtD.I will try that and which option works for me.
Thanks Ian..

You could use "Cross-linking"

You could use "Cross-linking" (described in the AREDN online documentation here).  This would allow you to create one big AREDN mesh by passing AREDN traffic across an existing non-AREDN P2P link.
