After our Northeast HamExp August 25, 26, 27, 2023, KC1BHD conducted a workshop on AREDN node builds.
Since I am a member of Western Massachusetts ARES and SKYWARN, our Section Manager is interested in pursuing the use of AREDN.
I have set up:
1) Two nodes: a hAPac-lite indoor (primary node), and a TPLink CPE510 outdoor node connected with 5GHZ.
2) Meshchat services hosted on a Raspberry Pi, broadcast from the hAPac-lite
3) DynDNS for my hAPac-lite to permit tunneling from my Section Manager and fellow ARES hams local to me after I obtain a tunnel.
Since there are no RF connections in the Springfield, MA area, would it be possible to request a tunnel to any Massachusetts or northern Connecticut nodes?
Thank you!
