I have two AR300s, One I bought myself and has been running flawlessly for over 8 months with 3.22.8 and 3.23.4
Another ham gifted me his AR300 with AREDN 3.22.8.0 loaded and running fine. When I updated it to 3.23.4 I get a banner saying "!!!! UNSUPPORTED DEVICE !!!!". Clicking the Setup button takes my login and then a "Bad Gateway" error. Clicking the banner link returns the following. I can't get to a place to load firmware and don't know what to do with it.

Fixed in the Nightly Build firmware image.
https://github.com/aredn/aredn/pull/806
There are instructions for the GL.iNet devices here:
https://docs.arednmesh.org/en/latest/arednGettingStarted/installing_firmware.html#gl-inet-first-install-process
If you already have a version of AREDN firmware on the radio (which it looks like you do), then you can navigate directly to
http://localnode.local.mesh/cgi-bin/admin to install the Nightly Build firmware from the Admin page.
Here are some tips for updating firmware in general:
https://docs.arednmesh.org/en/latest/arednHow-toGuides/firmware_tips.html#tips-for-uploading-firmware
Thank you so much! Feels like I'm making some progress now. Was able to access the device admin page. However it rejected all the firmware versions I tried to load.
I tried:
aredn-3.22.12.0-ar71xx-generic-gl-ar300m-squashfs-sysupgrade
aredn-20230518-62a19a2-ath79-generic-glinet_gl-ar300m16-squashfs-sysupgrade
I only get this message back:
Looks like you need to disable firmware compatibility checks before uploading the new image. Go to http://localnode.local.mesh/cgi-bin/advancedconfig and scroll down to the Firmware section. At the bottom of that list there is a switch labeled Dangerous Upgrade which allows you to do that. Flip the switch to ON and click the Save Setting button. Then go back to http://localnode.local.mesh/cgi-bin/admin and try to load the image.
