I just received a PowerBeam M5 (400mm) directly from Ubiquiti and when I power it on it's flashing two green signal LEDs + power LED, and not giving me link. The UI doc is... well, bleak. I have no clue what this particular pattern means. Any hints? (And more points if you can point me at some real hardware documentation -- something better than the "quick start (l)user guide" that comes with the device and prevails in any Internet search.)
Thanks,

How To Add Pictures to Your Forum Posting
To insert pictures in your Forum posting -
Click on the picture symbol in the edit tools bar - this symbol is the 8th from the far right or the 12th symbol to the right of the word "Source" in the top tool bar.
That open up an Image Properties dialog box
Click on Browse Server
That opens up a File Browser window
Click on Upload at the top left in the File Browser window, then select the picture file on your computer that you want to insert.
After the picture file is uploaded, click Insert File. That will put the picture into your posting.
This returns you to the Image Properties dialog box where you need to do 2 more things:
Under Image Alignment, select Left
Under Image Size, select Danland Breakpoint group.
At this point you are finished inserting a picture into the posting.
"not giving me link"
Hi, Dave:
'Expect link', why?
Accessing airOS
Verify connectivity in the airOS Configuration Interface.
Make sure that your host system is connected via Ethernet to the device. Configure the Ethernet adapter on your host system with a static IP address on the 192.168.1.x subnet. Launch your web browser and type https://192.168.1.20 in the address field. Press enter (PC) or return (Mac).

Hi Chuck,
Thanks for the reply. I expect to see link on the switch port because, at least in my experience, that's how well behaved network devices work.
I plumbed up 192.168.1.100 on on my local network and when I point my browser at https://192.168.1.20/ I get the "site cannot be reached" error. I tried the reset button on both the device and POE injector with zero result -- not even a change in the frequency (~1 per second) of flashing. I cannot ping it either:
It might also be odd that it goes into this flashing sequence immediately on application of power.
And sorry for failing the image attachment. Let me try again. Here's also a link to a video showing how fast it goes into this sequence: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZJqBWPFVR3T1t6766

I concur, that is not right.
I cannot see my PBE-M5-400 as it is on the tower, but that video indicates
your PBE is broke...out of the box.
No ping reply is also bad.
I recommend a Mikrotik LHG-5HP or LHG-5HP-XL for <$ ?
I have a few in service.
3s, Chuck
They include a little spacer that give a little up or down tilt, and there is the StrongMount (if I remember the name) that gives elevation adjustment.
