Here's a simple question I hope. The AREDN bandplan for 5ghz shows channels 171-184 (5,855-5,920) but when I look at the spec sheets for Mikrotik and Ubiquiti hardware I see the following operating frequencies listed.
Mikrotik
International: 5150 - 5875 MHz
Ubiquiti
5470 - 5600, 5650 - 5725, 5725 - 5850
If the units are flashed with the AREDN firmware will they operate in the channels between 171 and 184? Was this just a manufacturers firmware limitation? Are there any performance constraints if you want to operate on these channels.
We are at the point where we want to plan on which channels on which nodes we will use in our mesh implementation so it would really be useful to know.
