We are not currently selling AREDN branded shirts. It is something that we are looking into. Please remember that the AREDN logo is a trademark of our brand and may not be used without permission.
If you plan to use the AREDN logo in reference material, similar to how you might use another corporate logo such as the Haliburton or BancFirst logos to refer to their products and services, then that would be a normal, acceptable use. Our standard logo is for use only for reference to our website or our software. Like any other organization, we must make sure that our brand is protected and that the logo is not used to express or imply that the AREDN project or AREDN Inc. is sponsoring or producing an event, supporting a group or managing resources when it is not.
We are concerned that putting the AREDN logo in the heading of your website might imply that somehow the activities underneath it are managed, sanctioned or endorsed by AREDN, Inc, which is not the case. So that use of our logo is not permissible.
Having said that, I have available a logo that says "Networked by AREDN" with our standard graphics. This should be more suitable for your use and will indicate that your efforts are affiliated with, but not directed or controlled by AREDN. This would be suitable for use on a banner at a Field Day event or on a website which promotes the use of AREDN mesh networking. Send me a direct email if you want to get a copy of the "Networked by AREDN" graphics.
