Xfinity myxFi port forwarding

Hi all,

Anyone have any success with setting up port forwarding with Xfinity?

I'm able to "add" port 5525. But it will not allow me to add the gateway IP in the settings.

All I get is "Success, Port Forwarded." But it doesn't appear to know "where."

Yes, I have it running successfully on my system. I had to use a combination of the Cellphone app and the online Web based as well as direct contact with the router to get it all worked out. It can be done, just a few hoops to jump through. Also watch out for the individual user site blocking firewall option.

Hi Tom,

Did you use the 10.0.0.1 IP to connect to the router? Did it accept admin/admin for username/password?

Whenever I try that, it reports that either the username/password are incorrect.

At first, I thought configuring managed switches was a pain. That's now easy to do!

But trying to get the Xfinity box to accept a port forward? Golly! :-)
