I am new to Aredn and networking.
I flashed my Bullet and its working showing a SSID I can access occasionally with a Linux computer. I can say it is though to get to the AREDN page with any computer except an I pad pro. I connect it directly to the internet via a Google switch or to an external switch to the Google one. The problem is I can connect to the ARDEN node to test but it will not get on the internet. I then connected it into a DD-RT router to separate it from the network and tried again to connect to the rocket and it would not let me get on the internet.
The plan is to use these between location at field day but one has to get on the internet since we are connecting. Yes I have selected allow others to use my myWAN. Am I missing something but can a Aredn node not be connected to the internet?

Tim, you need to read the https://arednmesh.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ to start with and you will have a much better experience with AREDN.
You can't connect to a node using WiFi without an access point or connecting directly to the LAN of your node with a computer. If you know anyone already using mesh networking that can walk you though the steps would also be helpful. Please read the above and look around the forum and you will find all the answers to your questions and then some.

Thank you for getting back to me on my question. I have read the documentation you mentioned. Unfortunately it is very limited for getting started. We trying to put together a demo for field day. After building several Linked DD-WRT systems I am surprised the AREDN system software is not what I expected. I am thinking the documentation should be aimed at networking for non networking people. I don't understand why the AREDN software would not take a router address since I know the router offered the address. It would help to know why to move on.

Thank you,
