Yes, I know this issue has been raised before. But, it is really annoying that the forum text editor does not understand \n as a line ending character, apparently it only likes \r. Entering \n (which is the default when you press "return" on a mac, and probably other *NIX like systems) causes a new line to be entered and then jumps the cursor to the start iof the first line of the editor window. This is clearly a relatively minor matter, but it is also very annoying. Sure, I can press option-return, but that is something I have to do in only one instance, use of this forum.

I figured it might be a configuration issue and really wasn't asking for a major effort.
