not seeing other nodes

not seeing other nodes
I just got a GL-USB 150 programed with the nightly build today and was unable to see any other nodes. They are all set to the same channel and bandwidth.

One thing I noticed was on the main page it does not show the same SSID as what it shows on the setup page.


Any ideas?

For short range, always use a
For short range, always use a static distance setting of 1km.  The auto distance, while it is expected to work, yields poorer performance  <5miles.   The upstream developer was going to look and improve -- it has been a confirmed an issue upstream in openwrt.

Reset to Firstboot
That's weird - suggest you use the "Reset to Firstboot" button under Advanced Configuration and start the config over again.

Since you are using a USB150,
Since you are using a USB150, are the other nodes that you are trying to communicate with REALLY close by (like in your house, or better yet in the same room)?  The USB150 has darn near no antenna, so it's range is extremely short.
I have a USB150, but it is almost always used connected to WiFi and serves as an AREDN tunnel client.  When it is operating as a mesh node, it is normally talking to other nodes that are only feet away (and that's usually a single digit number).

The node I was to connect to was less than 2 feet away. I did a reset to first boot and is working now. Thanks for the info
