I have a Samba server set up in pi on the mesh network and I can access it on the mesh using windows by mapping a network drive.
I have raspberrypi.local.mesh set up with an ip address reservation. How do I create a clickable link to shared folders on the server?
In advertised services name=filename to be shared by all or individual filenames for users
Link=?
url=raspberrypi
port=?
/=?
Do I need to append the /etc/samba.smb.conf file to allow a shared clickable folder link connection across the network?
the web address is http://raspberrypi.local.mesh
and the path is /media/pi/2AE6-9C53/callsign
Thanks for all the hard work, slowly trying to get people onboard in Northern California. Our new network shoots right over where the MDARC tech committee meets. If we can get a few apps going I think they will buy into this if our small group shows them an actual working network.

Try this format:
file://<hostname>/<path>
Don't recall anyone doing this before, but it 'should' work.
In the service advertisement, see how it builds a URL syntax. The end result would look like this URL link. Be sure to install current versions of Samba and not doing SMB v1 (maybe an option to turn off if not default).
This is the a wannacry propagation path, SMB v1, so be sure to only run newer versions of SMB in samba.
Probably worth a general blurb while on the subject. Everyone should always be sure to maintain proper computer hygiene -- a monthly patch update process to stay current and ahead of viruses. There will be a next gen wannacry making the rounds one day. Anyone still on XP, is a honey pot for viruses since MS doesn't put out patches for this old OS. Best upgrade...

Some may not like it, or do nothing. You might try FTP instead. Or if you really want to make an impression, spin up an RPi with Mattermost on it! :) also +1 to what Andre and Joe said
