How will this work with a Winlink gateway on our network?
I'll have to research how Pat on a RasPi will work with our HF & VHF Winlink RMS gateway that N2LEE hosts on our NoVa-Mesh AREDN network here in Virginia.
Will it work similar to a Winlink Post Office like the one KE2N hosts on our network?
How many nodes should have a Pat-based Winlink box?
I'm sure Pat will work on the RasPi on which some of us run Meshchat. Many of us already have a Raspberry Pi connected to our nodes that we run services like Direwolf, Internet gateway firewall, PBX, rtl_tcp, NAS drive, and many other services that so many of the folks experiment with.
This could be a lot of fun.
Jason,
I've seen a few of your videos, but when you put them in a playlist like this it really walks you through this material, enabling someone to go fro zero to hero on the 'Winlink on Pi' capability. Thank you.

Pat will connect to your current HF/VHF gateways without issue once configured. I have a playlist that should help get things installed and configured. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1QTYT4Qo9cY98NFmxrTvtGyWI9pgxtFq
It can also connect to your current Winlink Post Office as a client.
Pat will not function as a post office. The video demonstrates 2 Pat clients connecting P2P.
