Guys,
I am real green horn, and I have flashed several of the WRT54G's with no problem, but now trying to flash a Ubiquity Bullet V3.5.4494 and a V4.0.3. I am getting an error message when I try to upgrade it of "Bad Firmware Update Image". I am using the Factory upload. I am able to communicate with the Bullet normally and it seems to work, but will not flash. Help!

Have you tried the instructions on our SOFTWARE page? ie.
BEFORE flashing a Ubiquiti device that is running or has been running airOS version 5.6, please run the AREDN U-Boot Test program below.
We have developed the following utility to help determine if your device is compatible, as well as being able to take a BACKUP of your critical partitions. Download and run the AREDN U-Boot Test Setup Program. If the test results in a "GOOD/GOOD" result, you may proceed to load the appropriate AREDN firmware on it.
If the test results are "BAD", you should do the following:
Requires Windows 7 or higher and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.
Also, to confirm, these are Bullet M2's not just a plain "Bullet 2", right?
Thanks! I guess this falls under the heading of a fool and his money will soon be parted. I tak it that the Bullet 2 is not flashable. I will have to look for some M2's!
But how do you restore them?
I have a M2 bullet 60 feet in the air that I have to restore.
I have tftp access but loading anything.BIN doesn't restore it. UBNT nor AREDN software.
Tnx,
André
some background:
I had success loading latest AREDN software on it. It worked for 2 days then nada.
It was running UBNT 5.5.8 before and I did backup the partition.
Any restore tool?
You'll need TFTP the original firmware back onto it (probably to 5.6.*), then re-downgrade the firmware to 5.5.*, then install the AREDN firmware. Ubiquiti has a pretty good knowledge base article and video on it: https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/204911324-airMAX-How-to-reset-your-device-with-TFTP-firmware-recovery
