I thought that everything was fully compatible between BBHN, and AREDN, is this not correct? I installed the AREDN firmware on my new Ubiquity Bullet HP last night, and in the WIFI scan, I can see both of my Linksys BBHN nodes, but when I go to the mesh status page, it does not show the BBHN nodes. is there something that I could have done wrong? do I need to change the SSID?

Yes, the SSID, channel, and channel width need to match in basic setup on all the nodes to link up.
Make sure that you are on Version 3.1.0 BBHN on the Linksys and 3.0.2 AREDN or later on the Ubiquiti device(s).
The "3" in the firmware version designates "protocol compatibility" and can be joined to a mesh with other version '3' nodes. This started with the "3" in BBHN 3.0.0 and continues with AREDN 3.15.1.0 today. If a change is ever made that causes the firmware to no longer be compatible with older versions, we'll increment the "3" to a "4". Losing backward compatibility is not desirable...
