Thanks for the UK forum.

Hi, thanks for setting up the UK regional forum.
I'm running a node at JO02pp. Currently on 2.4GHZ channel -2/5MHz, but subject to change, depending on whoever else is in range.

New node in the North East

Just set up a test point for my area, I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne. currently there is just myself and another operator 3 miles away, I'm hoping others in my area or tunneled into my node to expand the use of Aredn in the UK as it is quite lacking in users.

currently looking at deploying a PBX voice and web hosting on the network once I've worked out how to use it correctly.

Thanks
Scott

Hello, just getting started in York!

I just joined up today and will be setting up a small network to work out how this all works, and it's clear I have a very steep learning curve ahead of me! My longer term aim is to develop a worthwhile system covering the city of York, but that of course will depend on being able to sell the value of the system to my fellow hams! I currently provide a city wide APRS service and WiresX access. Right now I'm waiting on Mr Amazon to deliver a big box of goodies so I can get started...

Active Stations NW England

Rochdale and District Amateur Radio Society members running active nodes are as follows.
G7DNM Eddie Lower Darwen IO83SR
M0TCO Tom Rochdale IO83WO
M0ICS Carl Castleton
All on 2.4Ghz channel -2 10Mhz
Early days yet but there is a functioning mesh webserver and email server incorporating instant messaging currently testing. Voip with video calling to follow shortly. USB over IP also testing at the moment.
If anyone would like to get involved in or around any of these locations then please drop a message in the forum.

NEDNET - North East Data Network

Hi all
Steve G4EKM reporting. We have set up a group here in the NE looking at meshing. We have got the technology sorted, but now trying to get the RF links working. Jumping through a lot of hoops with organisations to try and get access to some of their sites. We have a web site NEDNET.org.uk. We are also affiliated with RAYNET - I am group controller of Sunderland RAYNET and this will be one of our offerings.

AR150 won't connect to the Internet

Hello Laides and Gents
I am new to AREDN and need some help pleasse!
My AR150 won't connect to the internet. I have tried every reset in the book.
The error message: The remote device or resource won't accept the connection.
I have changed the DNS server setings, DHCP setingS and Lan seting and much more.
This means I cant enter my call sign or any info to log into the AR150.

Looked at every Youtube video out there. Now pulling my hair out.
My only hope is you guys if you could help please.

Unattended operation

Hi,

Anyone in the UK got nodes running 24x7 unattended?

My QTH is just within 50km of a location where we cant do 2.4ghz or 5ghz unattended operation so all experimentation is only online temporarily

Cheers

Hi all

Hey to all!

just starting the learning for this. Really taken by the possibilities available. Will start by going through the GitHub repository but no doubt will have some silly questions. Look forward to exploring things with you guys

Al

Hello All

Hi All,

Finally, I joined to AREDN. For now, I've only Mikrotik hAP ac2 but I'll add TP-Link CPE-210 and CPE-610 to my network in the future.
