Hi,
I am beginning to put together a small AREDN unit in the Aylesbury area in South Buckinghamshire in the UK. Is anyone aware of an RF or other MESH within range?
Best regards,
Keith

The AREDN World Map shows several AREDN nodes linked in your area, but maybe not close enough. There are several in Great Denham, and the England Supernode is in Kempton. Those are north east of you.
If you can contact them, they may be able to help.

Many thanks for your response. I have looked at the map and seen the node at Kempston. Having checked with RadioMoile, it is very iffy as a reliable link, as it is on the fringes of the yellow coverage. My hope is to find others closer with a view to setting up an RF MESH, so let's see what happens!

Keith -
I zoomed into the AREDN World Map and found that all four nodes showing in Kempston and Great Denham belong to G7UOD. G4KUJ in North Watford is next nearest.
You might consider starting with a Wireguard tunnel. This would be a good training vehicle for operating with AREDN. In order to get an RF mesh, it looks like you will have to recruit operators in your neighborhood. The World Map shows only one RF link, and that is between two of G7UODs nodes, one apparently in his truck. All the rest are tunnels.
