RI nodes gone?
It looks like all of the nodes in Rhode Island are no longer showing on the map. Have they been disconnected from the rest of the mesh?

Mark (N2MH) has recently
Mark (N2MH) has recently updated his network, to which I’m connected via RI-NJ. He has not reconnected our end yet, so we are not showing on the new map. I’m moving to Bradenton, FL, in a few days, so I am waiting for Mark to contact me. I need him to connect to KB1OCU in Warwick, RI. I will still have an active role with RI, but during the transition, we will be on our own island in Rhode Island… yes, Rhode Island is not an island! Surprising how many people think that or better, confuse us with Long Island NY!

Denis KD1HA/4 soon!

Thanks for the update, Denis.
Thanks for the update, Denis. Is there any interest in establishing a supernode to cover our tiny state? I'm not in a position to provide RF links, but tunnels are doable and I have a decent 1Gb fiber connection to the internet.

Hi Jim in Cumberland,
Hi Jim in Cumberland,
I'm also originally from Cumberland. Mark N2MH network upgrade is in part to a Supernode albeit in Orange, NJ approximately 400+ miles away outside NYC. Once we are reconnected to KB1OCU Warwick, we should be good for awhile but if anyone is interested in hosting one we would be good with that. Rhode Island is running fine until then.

Supernode
I think it would make sense to have a New England supernode because when we were linked though N2MH, for whatever reason, we routed though Europe to go to the Midwest. I don't think that is ideal.

New England supernode
Hi, Ben et alia:

Whether or not your link with Mark N2MH returns...
You are welcome to tunnel with our local network in the midwest with a supernode or not.
How big is your local area network?
I think our local network can handle another 40 nodes without adverse effect.
I am also running a supernode on a x86.
It is lightly loaded with 2700+ nodes.

Hi Chuck, Rhode Island has
Hi Chuck, Rhode Island has about 34-40 nodes including SE MA. I'm now in Fl and still in the transition stage here. Once I get setup here I will contact you and remotely setup a tunnel with KB1OCU in Warwick, RI. Thank you for that offer! May be a few weeks as our belongings are still in RI...don't ask!!
Thank you again,
Denis

Rhode Island has about 34-40 nodes
Hi, Denis:
Our local LAN approaches 80 nodes.
Another 30-40 nodes would be a 'cake walk'.
I am running a supernode, too, so if/when this LAN gets large,
we are ready establish that link.

I am RF challenged living in
I am RF challenged living in a condo, but I could provide a supernode with a decent (1gig) fiber connection. The only thing I need to work on is improved battery backup for my LAN equipment.

Let me know if there is interest.
