Installing new Firmware.
I am trying to install the new firmware (3.22.12.0) on an older but still supported Ubiquity node (Bullet M2). It all goes as normal but when i reboots. it still has the old version. I suspect that there is not enough memory to have Mesh Chat on the node and be able to install the new Firmware ( another node of the same type  without MeshChat was able to install). I wanted to remove all the not needed packages to free up memory but I cant tell which ones are form MeshChat and which are needed for the update procedure. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, remove any additional modules, MeshChat, IperfSpeed, and VTUN if installed.  Another helpful tip to save memory for upgrades on the older 32MB devices is to disable MESH RF or any other RF modes, reboot, then upgrade.

Thanks. I tried disabling MESH RF and rebooted and tried  again, still not installed. I want to remove the Mesh Chat module(s) but I don't know which of the 20 or so is the MESH Chat modules. I don't want to remove something that is still needed. Do you know how to identify what the names are?

If you want to run MeshChat - specially if you are running on a low memory device - you are far better off to load MeshChat externally on a RasPi.

MeshChat modules
I was only aware of the one MeshChat module, but you could try to install an Older fresh Production version of AREDN firmware, which should wipe out any foreign modules, then you can work your way forward.  You can even try to "upgrade" to your current firmware version (what version is it currently using?) which will also wipe out any foreign modules.

I removed all modules that it would let me, I also tried to reinstall the older version all with no luck. I am running 3.21.4.0,  Should I try to do a cold install ( as if was new) ?  Also, what is the memory numbers needed to install 3.22.12.0? And is there a log file for the install that I can review to actually see what's going on? BTW: thanks for all the help also I would just throw it away and buy a new node but I have 5 nodes with the same memory size and problem)

Sure.  Can't make it any worse other than having to reset all your config parameters (not that hard to do)...
