I currently own a Mikrotik mANT30 (MTAD-5G-30D3-PA) 2ft (0.6096M) 30dBi dish with precision alignment mount,MikroTik RouterBOARD RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT MIMO modem, and Mikrotik Sleeve30 shielding and radome. I was going to use it for HamWan but I don't have a clear path to any nodes. Can this be repurposed for AREDN? My ARES group is looking into AREDN for backup comms and other uses.

Although your specific device is not listed you MIGHT be able to load the AREDN firmware on it. Then again, you might brick it. If you're willing to risk it, give it a shot! You might also be able to change out the inner workings of that dish to something usable. I've heard of people even using satellite dishes with modifications!

We use Basebox 5's with that same dish here in Florence,Oregon. No problems with them for the last 4 years. Not sure why it was said to be not compatible. They are on the supported platform matrix.
