I have an SXTsq Lite2 that I have been unable to reset the password. I cannot get back to NOCALL, SETUP etc to reset the PW. BTW it seems that the PW was changed by a password manager on a MS Windows PC used to access the Setup page afterwhich the PW was changed. Weird, I know. It boots up fine just don't know what the new password might be so can't really manage it.
Anyway, the 15 second reset switch powerup process will not bring back the NOCALL screen for me. Seems the reset switch may not be working for some reason - sigh.
Anyway, my question is, "Can the SXT case be opened?" It does not seem like it is possible. I am about to force open the case ballistically but I thought I would see if anyone might know if there is a more gentle method?

Are you doing the following?
- let the node power up AS normal
- navigate to it at http://localnode.local.mesh:8080 to make sure that it is up and running fully
- press the RESET button on the node for 12 secs, then release.
(The node will reboot within a 1 min or less back to factory "NOCALL" state)
ALSO, if you just want the PWD reset, you can hold the button (in the steps above) for 6 secs then release. (that will reset the pwd to hsmm and enable the DHCP server)

I have just repeated that method and no joy.
I am connected to a Mac Mini Cat 5 port. Mini has WiFi turned off. It boots up to the setup screen to the localnode address you supplied. The mac does object initially and requires permission (allow) to display the status page. Screen comes up fine to "status".
Pressing Reset seems to have no effect in that lights on the node blink as usual. If I unplug the mini then it does not boot with the same light pattern but it comes up the "status" page in a minute just the same.
In short, it appears that the reset button does not have any effect. I even tried a Ubiquiti injector 12 second reset but no effect. I don't think it has anything to do with the Mac mini which seems to operate as expected and works with other nodes.
I thought if I got the case apart, I might find the issue with the reset button. Perhaps I should continue to dry it out in the microwave for a bit more.
(just kidding.... for now)
I have another SXT on order so my plan with cracking the case is to use this one in the car (assuming I fix it at the expense of the case and dial down the power).
