I upgraded my hAP Lite from 1234... to 3.19.3.0 and all seems well.
BUT, I cannot find WAN WiFi client settings. they have disappeared from basic setup. did they move somewhere?
Actually stepping from Nightly 1234 "back" to 3.19.3.0 is a "downgrade" and that feature is not available in that version. I believe WiFi client feature was introduced around Nightly 1000 versions and beyond.
K1KY thanks for that. I'm understanding the versioning now.
I had a problem with 1234... that it wouldn't install the tunnel client for some reason. it appears that the new nightly 1307... is fine.
The Nightly Build cycle is a continually changing river which you step into when you install the current version on-line. *If* you install the tunnel package at that same time (before the next nightly build is published), then it should install properly. If you wait until the next build is released then the tunnel associated with that is now on-desk for install and will not likely work with the past nightly build.
The good news is that the tunnel associated with the last *stable* release is still available for it (different location).
So currently, if you want to play with tunnels, you either have to install the NB and its associated tunnel at the same time -or- you can fall back to 3.19.3 and use it and its tunnel. Problem is that 3.19.3 is almost a year old now and many devices/features don't work with it.
The temporary problem with the builds after v1234 was that the tunnel package had been modified in a non-backward compatilble way. Reading the most recent posts, it would seem that that problem has been addresssed. (Thanks team!)
NH7IT, Long story short, on Wed Feb 12th, 2020 install the nightly build image. A new image is going to be created tonight. This is the best image to use that supports tunnels and wifi client. Although, do keep an eye out, we have been seeing hAP ac lite's become sluggish at times, the 5GHz use is consuming too much RAM and may not leave enough. Fix should be out, probably next week.
