Question on Participating in Columbus, OH

Hello to the group, I am interested in setting up a node in Columbus. I am in NW Columbus, across from the State EOC, very near Dublin-Granville Road and Sawmill Road. Not sure if I will be better off working with AC8YE or WB8CJW. Can you advise with instructions or a point of contact to get started? Also, what is the most preferred equipment for this range?
