I have a device labeled:
NanoStation5 loco
FCC ID: SWX-NS5
IC ID: 6545A-NS5
After a hard reset airOS indicates:
"Firmware Version: XS5.ar2313.v4.0.3.5058.130328.1058".
AREDN U-Boot Tester 1.1.4.0
Ping=success
But the test run gives an error:
bounds of the array.
at aredn.Form1.ParseVersion(String ubString)
at aredn.Form1.btnTest_Click_1(Object sender, EventArgs e)
What does this mean and can AREDN be loaded on this device?
The Supported Devices chart seems to indicate it can except the FW in it doesn't look familiar to me and doesn't indicate XM or XW.
I'm a bit confused on this one. :)
Thanks, Mike ab4yy
I am not the owner of this device but the owner says he loaded the latest Ubiquiti FW. According to Ubiquiti's site, the matching installed FW for the NanoStation5 shows up under their "airMAX® Legacy Products" so this apparently is a legacy product. But I'd still like to verify if this is ARDEN supported. Thanks, Mike
It also has only 16 Mb of memory versus 64 Mb of memory in the current Nanostation M5 and Nanostation M5 Loco according to the Ubiquiti datasheets.
Okay thanks. I was afraid of that. It was just an idea to re-purpose it with the AREDN FW. Oh well, nothing lost.
Perhaps the Supported Platform Matrix should have a row for legacy products or at least a note?
